Interesting that in a time of connectedness we simply don't know what is true or not.

I've read the article and Matthew's response. I can't blame Matthew for thinking as he does. He is right about one thing for sure - we don't know the whole truth.

I won't claim that Covid is not real. My friends (and their entire families) got ill, some of their family members died within weeks. I have friends who are doctors around the world and one thing is for sure, something is attacking many people at once, many are dying and the symptoms are severe at times.

That's all we know for sure. Nothing else.

Fine, let's say this is all happening because of a virus called Covid19.

Now new questions arise, far too many. And the problem is this: in the past four years, in the era of Trump and the Torries in the UK who have been lying through their teeth quite openly and breaking the law (like sending hundreds of Jamaicans to Jamaica on a plane the very next day after the Supreme Court has ruled that it is illegal to do so).

And then Covid came. Or something came, name it what you will but we can't deny the number of deaths.

But how can we trust the news or any so called "facts"? Factcheck is the next big thing in technology and some people are working hard on applications which will help you check if certain news is made up or not, if a picture matches the text and so on.

Our initial trust in what is being said by an 'authority' such as a doctor or the news or our government is a natural thing and is being shamelessly abused. We have been raised in a way so we wouldn't question any authority, starting with our religions, our schools, our parents...

Sure, we need structure and a certain level of coordinating and cooperating with each other in order to survive and possibly thrive.

But when does organising become abusive control? Where is the balance or where is the limit?

So, people will have to allow others to doubt the news, to doubt the reality of certain things like Covid. I get it. I don't doubt Covid itself, but I do question every single 'news' on the news.

OK, let's look at some of the weird things which simply stay unanswered.

1) The numbers of Covid deaths or those of infected:

- right at the start people were hardly tested for Covid in the UK.

- I had friends with symptoms who were trying to be good citizens, went to get tested, only to be asked if they recently flew into the country. No? Well, then go home, we won't test you, they said.

So how many people stayed untested that way right at the start?

- to this day we haven't had mass testing

- As Matthew pointed out, we've never seen the actual virus, any proof of how the test works and how they recognise if you are actually positive, so how do we know how reliable is a test anyway?

We all know that people have been tested for Clamydia or even AIDS and there could be a false positive or false negative at first. So at least two tests are always being done.

- Further: hospitals started getting a lot of money for each reported Covid death. So some doctors apparently reported more Covid deaths than necessary (either to help their hospitals or themselves, who knows). And others have been saying that they were pressured to put Covid as a reason of death, even if it wasn't but the symptoms kind of matched.

Taking that alone in account (if it's true), we can only say for certain that the number of infected is probably much higher than we think but the number of dead due to Covid much lower than is being claimed.

Then it gets bizarre.

2) Most recently: The mass panic of a new Covid strand? Hospitals apparently overflowing with patients again in the UK.

But is that true? Why am I questioning that?

Because a man in the UK accidentally went to one of the hospitals which were apparently overflowing, only to find the hospital almost empty. When he posted a video online, he was accused of obstruction of... Of what exactly? Of the truth?

3) The vaccines. That's the best one and for me at least a no-brainer.

Fact:

- no one is letting the vaccines be peer-reviewed

- the pharmaceutical companies have made the EU sign a declaration that the governments are taking all responsibility for any negative consequences of the vaccination

Why? Why wouldn't the companies take responsibility? Do they not believe in their own product? How come if they claim "it's 95% effective!" ?

This is not a matter of what I believe or not, I'm just weighing the possibility of what is really going on. Because that's where we're at, aren't we? Having to GUESS what is true, despite all our tech and possibility to show videos around the world.

We have to either guess or simply decide to blindly trust our governments and the industries who we KNOW have only one thing in mind - money.

Come on, I'm not being cynical and you know it.

OK, fact: we all know that car companies will weigh the cost of a law suit against the cost of having to pull back a faulty car series to replace a faulty airbag or breaks... And if that cost of a law suit is lower than the replacement... They don't bother with fixing the cars and let people die.

That's our reality.

The pharma industry is no better.

BUT! They have made the deal of their lives right now: they don't have to assume ANY responsibility whatsoever, which means no one can sue them EVER, so it's pure cashing in without ANY risk, even if half of us should die due to their vaccines. ...Just saying, in theory, right?

FACT: (and a friend of mine almost bit my head off when I said this which is apparently something everyone is saying these days and she was simply SICK of it)...

I pointed out, vaccines usually need 8-12 years before they are properly tested, properly approved and so on.

Simple fact. Google it and it will come up even on WHO what the process usually looks like.

I had to ask myself. Why was my friend so upset about a thing that is (as far as I'm concerned) BY FAR the most proven fact so far - that vaccines need around 10 years to be developed.

I think that as someone who is a biology and chemistry buff (I used to study chemistry for a while) and who read a lot about medicine and technologies, I'm in my right to refer to a scientific fact, even if on paper I'm not a scientist.

Maybe I should say - a PROVEN scientific fact.

All the other so called facts around Covid and the vaccines... I'm sorry, but where is the proof?

4) It gets better. This kind of vaccine has never been done before.

Fact: so far vaccines have been mainly developed in the form of weakened or dead viruses injected into our body, which then develops antibodies...

But now they have been playing with DNA and mRNA forms, a method as they claim has never been used as a vaccine form so far.

And yet it has been developed in the past say 8 months and tested for maximum 5 to 6 months.

6 months... in comparison to 10 years...

What do we know for sure at this point?

IF the vaccines are what they claim to be, DNA, mRNA... then we will know the effects, side effects and consequences to our health and genetic health of our children only after ten to twenty years. Very simple fact.

And what we also know for sure is that pharma companies have been experimenting with medicine on generations before, in the 70s on pregnant women in Germany and in the 80s here in the UK. I have a friend in Germany who was the result of the medicine given to her mother and her DNA was 95% ruined.

All we know is that we don't know anything for sure, except that people are getting ill and dying around us with horrible symptoms at times.

Now here is my question or simple observation of my own surrounding.

The number of infections went down, as well as the number of deaths. It was said that Covid is under control here in the UK (that I can't know, I just didn't see as many ambulances running around lately any more).

Then suddenly over night (just as the vaccines were ready but seemingly perhaps not needed anymore?), a new Covid strand appeared. So they say. Convenient?

Europe reported of the same.

You see, there is a problem. The vaccines were supposed to roll out but how do you convince the population there is still a need for it when things have seemingly calmed down?

Answer: you have to create new fear, new panic.

Is the new Covid strand real? Perhaps. And believe me, I will continue to be careful and go out of my house as little as possible, just in case. I wear my mask in the store...

But... I do have to question...well, everything, it's my job. Following blindly can be fatal. And I'll tell you in a minute my own experience why.

Given the very clear money motivation of the pharma industry (and the politicians with interest in the stocks of these companies), of course I will question the news.

Here is my story:

I was 22 when a truck hit me. I was on foot. My biggest bone got broken, in my right thigh. I was lucky.

The first operation got botched and I stayed in pain and my leg wasn't entirely right. No one would believe me, no doctor that I was seeing at time. They tried to convince me I was imagining things! Hm...sound familiar?

Do I trust the doctor or my pain?

I searched for a new doctor, through recommendations. I got lucky. The new doctor confirmed my suspicion: my leg didn't heal properly, I needed a new operation, the bone had to be broken again, rotated, fixed in place... Don't let me bore you. With other words, my right thigh is riddled with scars because I needed three operations to get it right.

If I had followed the opinion of the first doctors, I would still be in pain to this day.

No one is automatically 100% right just because they work in a certain field you are not an expert of. That's why you need to get at least three independent consultations, especially when it comes to your health.

But what do we do when we need to have something injected on blind faith and all we know is that the people who have developed the jab, are not taking any responsibility for the negative consequences?

Where is the second and third INDEPENDENT consultation to prove us this is safe?

Right now I don't need it.

When we are playing with vaccines, no matter what they are, we KNOW, we KNOW!!! that we need time before we will really know their use or danger.

"I'm sorry" if what we have to do right now is to rethink our lives, maybe stay at home, maybe learn to communicate with our partner and children at home and make an effort.

Of course I'm being sarcastic. My dear people, it's not like we are in actual war, it's not like there is no money to help each other. If there are billions to invest into vaccines, then there are billions to help those who have lost their jobs.

Do you know what real war is? We are not in it. We are complaining here on a very high level.

So what if we have to re-think our whole structure of the economy? Maybe it's about time. This is a great chance to re-invent ourselves, our societies, make it better in many ways.

One thing is actually really great about this (as much as I regret the rise of domestic violence).

While we don't have to spend the endless hours of travel and hours in our offices or factories, hardly seeing our children and families falling apart - we can now get back as a family.

In THIS I see our chance, the chance of reconnecting with those who actually matter.

I'll write an article about how we do it without getting crazy at home, I promise.

All I'm saying is - we can not be blamed for being sceptical of the news, any news - given all the lies in the past years. And given that money is still the biggest horrible motivator thus far.

Science is based on proof. Proof needs time.

We hardly had any time whatsoever to see any proof that really matters. Numbers have been twisted, doctors are divided...

What did I say to my friend in the end, after she was so upset?

After I've been listening to her almost screaming at me for half an hour, patiently, I said very calmly:"That is absolutely fine and I understand you. You are afraid and all you want to do is get back to how it was before and do the supposedly right thing and get vaccinated.

And I would never tell you not to, I just wanted to debate about the pros and cons, that's all. But if you are so dead convinced that vaccination is the right thing, then YOU and people like you...if you should ever think that I HAVE TO get vaccinated as well, then you will have to shoot me first. No, this is not a joke. You better be prepared to actually kill me, this is HOW STRONGLY I(!!!) fell about NOT being vaccinated with something that no one can prove right now what the consequences would be."

That...shut her up...

But even though (for now) the vaccine is not being forced on us directly, the 50% of people who are for it, will indirectly make pressure on the rest of us.

What a beautiful system, right? ;)
